Over the past few weeks, I’ve seen people talking about how they’re embarrassed to go to the gym because they don’t have the typical “gym-goer” body. Umm…
How do you think those people got those bodies? By going to the gym!
But I get it. No one wants to go to the gym and feel like they’re the fat person on the treadmill that everyone’s looking at. I have to tell you though, no one’s looking at you with any negativity in their minds. They probably don’t even register anything about you. And there might even be someone looking at you and thinking “Hey, that was me a year ago – I hope they keep it up too.”
No one is thinking “Why is that fat person here?” So don’t worry about it.
From my experience, the only people who get judged at the gym are the annoying ones. The guy who yells as he throws his weights on the floor, then doesn’t put them away. The woman who won’t wipe down the machines after using them because she is a lady and ladies don’t sweat (spoiler alert: ladies sweat). And don’t be that person who walks on the treadmill while gossiping on their phone. So annoying. But if you’re there minding your own business, no one will bat an eye.
And in general, people at the gym are pretty nice. We’re all there for the same reason – to get in shape or stay in shape. Everyone had to start somewhere. Sure, there are people who have been fit since they were kids and who have managed to stay in shape. But they do that by working at it. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be at the gym in the first place.
So don’t let how you look keep you from going to the gym. Just show up.

Hopefully this was the last week of terrible workout recaps. Basically, the month of March was kind of a wash when it comes to training and that is a huge disappointment.
Monday – Rest day. Hey, I got this one right!
Tuesday – Did a low gear trainer workout. Actually went okay because I was just going low and slow.
Wednesday – Hit the treadmill for 4 miles. Hacked my way through 2 miles, realized I was being an idiot and stopped.
Thursday – Given the coughing and snot, the pool was the last place I wanted to be, so I skipped this one.
Friday – Nope.
Saturday – Took my tri bike outside for the first time. Spent about 75 minutes riding. It was nice and easy, but it was awesome to start to learn how to ride in aero. Now, how I’m going to eat or get to my rear bottles on this bike is an issue, but Future Megan will figure it out.
Sunday – First outdoor training run of the year. Finally! Did an easy 6 and it went surprisingly well. Not as much coughing as I feared. Maybe I will make it through Cherry Blossom. Fingers crossed.

Model Has Six Ribs Removed In World’s Smallest Waist Bid

A SURGERY loving model has had SIX RIBS removed - to look like a CARTOON character. Former electrician Pixee Fox , from North Carolina, USA, had already spent more than £70,000 on plastic surgery attempting to sculpt the perfect hourglass figure. But now she has taken her obsession even further by having her lower ribs removed - so she can shrink her waist to a record-breaking 14 inches. The 25-year-old, who is originally from Sweden, says she was inspired by animated characters like Jessica Rabbit, Aurora from Sleeping Beauty and Holli Would from Cool World. The extreme five-hour keyhole surgery operation cost £6,000 and was performed by plastic surgeon Dr Barry Eppley in Indianapolis, Indiana in October. The operation, which is irreversible, is usually performed for medical reasons but can be used for cosmetic purposes after extensive consultation.

My next race is this weekend, and it’s one of my favorites – the Credit Union Cherry Blossom ten miler. This will be my sixth year running, and hopefully not my slowest year running. March was kind of a wash when it comes to training, thanks mostly to being sick. I got in six miles this weekend, though, and it went significantly better than expected.
That said, we’ll see how my lungs hold out. And my legs. I’m not a fast runner to begin with and this is a 14 minute mile pace. On a normal day, sure, that’s not a problem, but who knows what my lungs will decide to do come race day. I’ve been slowly weaning off my cough suppressant, which is going well. I can actually sleep without spending half the night coughing! I consider that a victory. I also know that this race has a sweep point at mile 5, so if I hit there and know it’s just not my day, I can opt out. I’ve never DNFed a race before, but there’s always a first time for everything, and better safe than sorry. I am feeling significantly better though, so here’s hoping!
So, the race. I love this race, even though the weather is traditionally terrible. Last year, we lucked out and got to run under peak blooms. This year, we’ll be a week after peak, so there will likely be lots of blossoms on the ground, sadly. But it’s still a great course. I love running through the streets of DC, and I even love Hains Point, even though everyone hates it.
(Side note – The best part of last year’s race was beginning Hains Point with Betsy and hearing her say “This isn’t so bad!” and finishing Hains Point with Betsy and hearing her say “I hate Hains Point.”)
This is an awesome race – a big race with the spirit of a small race. And actually, it’s not THAT big of a race – which is why the lottery is such a big deal. This was my first ten mile race, and my first big race in DC, and it will always be special to me. So here’s hoping my lungs and legs get me to my sixth finish!

I took my “new” bike outside and didn’t die!
Yes, I bought this bike in August and hadn’t yet ridden it outside. Why? Well, the story is that I wanted to finish the race season on the bike I knew and was comfortable with. And that is all true. Then, after my last race of the season, I didn’t ride outside again.
Mostly, I was a little scared. And had to get my final bike fit done.
I will be honest, riding in aero is scary. My road bike is a little bit too big for me (thanks, bike shop that will go unnamed), so I couldn’t just put aero bars on it to practice. My new bike is smaller so that it fits me, plus it is generally SMALL. 650cc wheels. Tiny little compact space. Kind of terrifying.
Also fast.
I knew I had to get outside and ride at some point, and this weekend was supposed to be nice and I had an easy 90 minute ride on my schedule, so I decided it was happening. And I made Liz come with me, for which I’m not sure she has forgiven me, to be honest.
We went to the loop where we do 24 Hours of Booty because it’s an easy 2.1 mile loop with little traffic, but a good enough path where I figured I could get into aero and practice. And I did. And it was awesome and a little terrifying.
One thing I quickly learned was that the bike is easier to control the faster I’m going. That makes sense from what little I know of physics. Of course, this was just on easy hills. The idea of going down some of the hills on the Iron Girl course terrifies me. I could hit 35mph on my road bike. Who knows what my tri bike will do!
But at least Coach is proud.
And I didn’t fall over. I consider it a win.

I still have this stupid cold. Now it is apparently acute bronchitis. My doctor’s office is awesome and I can contact them through their app and have these conversations without having to go in or pay a copay. The future is awesome. Anyway, this is apparently going around, so have fun, fellow locals. There’s no treatment other than rest, so I have been doing a lot of nothing lately. I’ve pretty much missed every workout for the past two weeks. Next weekend’s race is gonna be awesome.
So what have I been doing instead of working out? Well, resting, obviously. Also getting stuff done. Right now, I am at the car dealership finally dealing with a recall and an oil change. Super fun.
Ive also been putting in some extra time at work. Not so much by choice, but by necessity. It is kind of nice to not have to worry about delaying my workouts because I am stuck at work late. Doesn’t mean I’m giving up my training though!
I started watching 11.22.63 on Hulu and it is excellent. I loved the book when I read it a few years ago, but I wasn’t sure about the miniseries because I don’t love James Franco. But it is really excellent and I highly recommend it. I am definitely re-reading the book once the miniseries is over too.
I feel like when I have free time, I just start spending money, which is dangerous. I find myself researching new hobbies that I normally don’t have time for. My latest obsession is pointed pen calligraphy. There are intro classes taught in the area so I might sign up at some point. Right now, I am just bookmarking things because I don’t actually have time for a new hobby. Triathlon is my hobby.
I’m also trying out Blue Apron. My first box comes today so we’ll see how that goes. I don’t love cooking, but I love eating, so it should be interesting.
So that’s my life right now. Planning to take my TT bike out tomorrow for some easy riding. Gotta get comfortable on it. I haven’t ever ridden it outside, and I have to start racing in May. I hope it won’t be as hard as I fear.

So this workout recap is a laugh. Last week, I managed to get in exactly two workouts, and exactly zero of them were part of my training plan. On Thursday and Sunday, I got on my bike and rode for an hour. Yep, that’s it. The joys of having a cold. I’ve been a total slug.
(There is some similarity here with a slug trail and the trail of tissues I leave behind me, but we won’t go into great detail.)
Yes, Mom, I talked to the doctor’s office (my doctor’s office has an APP – the future is awesome!) and this is normal for the stupid cold going around.
I’m slowly easing back in this week, though the cough will likely linger for a while, much to the chagrin of all of my coworkers who have to deal with me throughout the day. Either way, I have to get back to running. Race season is starting!

Corset Training/Waist training (Comparision of 5 C Find more on: http://vixenempire.com
Last Sunday, while running my 12 miler, my throat was scratchy. I thought it was perhaps reflux from eating too close to running. Hey, it happens. Monday, I decided it might be a cold coming on. By Monday night, I knew I was right.
Tuesday, I did what no one should do. I went to work sick. I didn’t really have a choice – we’re understaffed and had some big things going on that required my presence. I hated that I was risking exposing everyone to my cold, but well, being a grown-up sucks sometimes. I am pretty sure this also meant that my recovery would be greatly slowed.
And I was right.
Luckily, I haven’t been feverish and am not showing any signs of infection, and I’m probably getting better, but seriously, I have gone through so many tissues that it’s getting ridiculous. I should go buy stock in Kleenex.
Apparently, there are three major cold viruses going around the area. This will make number two for me. My goal is to not get number three. So it’s time for some immune boosting methods. A number of ladies on the Coeur Team recommended Sound Probiotics, so I’m going to try those. Also going to be better about remembering to take my vitamins.
The big key is getting enough sleep. That’s a tough one when I’m working extra hours and also trying to keep up with my training and having a life, but if I don’t get enough sleep, things happen like missing the entire last week of training and having no life.

Get a Smaller Waist in 2 Weeks With Waist Training And Detox! was first published to www.vixenempire.com
The above image has been making the rounds for the past week, accompanied by a lot of high-fives and pats on the back. And don’t get me wrong – this is awesome. But it makes me worry that we’re putting too much emphasis on 140.6 and 70.3 distances and ignoring the shorter distance races.
Now, I don’t believe that IRONMAN has any Olympic/International distance races (I could be wrong), but they have a whole branch of sprint distances with their Iron Girl program and the stats could have included those races. Unfortunately, in the past few years, a number of Iron Girl races have disappeared, both ones run by Iron Girl and ones licensed by Iron Girl. I’m not going to question why, but it’s sad to see any beginner-friendly entry-level race disappear.
I’m on record as not always loving the idea of female-only races. Why do we have to have gender specific races? But at the same time, I know that a lot of women are more comfortable among a group of other women, especially in triathlon, where body-image issues seem to come into play even more than in running. After all, triathlon starts with a swim, and swimming attire is not all that forgiving. You’re out there in a bathing suit or a spandex tri kit or a wetsuit. While you shouldn’t care what you look like, that’s easier said than done. So it’s nice to be surrounded by a group of women, many of whom are thinking the same thing.
(However ladies, guess what? Apparently, a lot of the guys are thinking the exact same thing. Being a part of triathlon clubs and forums is very enlightening.)
But what really worries me is the general impression that if you aren’t doing a 70.3 or a 140.6, you’re not a real triathlete.
That’s not true at all.
I know, I say this and my big goal race this year is a 70.3. But I’m not doing it because I feel like I have to. I’m doing it because I want to. I enjoy the Olympic distance, and I enjoy half marathons, so I thought I would challenge myself with a 70.3 distance race. But I’m not any more or less of a triathlete because of the distances I do.
I will never do an 140.6. I know, never say never. But unless something magical happens with my pace, I don’t want to train for a 140.6. I don’t want to train for a marathon, and a 140.6 is clearly a lot more than just a marathon. And never doing one is totally okay.
Not infrequently, I see people posting on tri forums saying things like “Well, I only do sprints.” Don’t say “only!” Sprints are hard! You’re pushing yourself the whole time! And you’re still doing three separate activities, plus transition, which in my mind is the most confusing part of triathlon anyway. You want me to swim, then go run and find my bike in a mass of other bikes and put on shoes without falling over? That’s gonna go well.
Plenty of triathletes find that they are best suited for particular distances. Some people love sprints and Olympics. Some people consider 70.3 to be their best distance. I’m sure that some people think the 140.6 is their best distance (though I think those people are crazy). Don’t fall into the comparison trap and think that you have to do longer distance races and that you are any less for not doing them. Maybe someday you will, maybe you won’t, but everyone has to start somewhere.
The same goes for running races as well. So what if you’re not a marathoner? Do the distance that you love and rock it.
The longer courses aren’t the end-all-be-all of triathlon. It’s sad to see beginner friendly short courses disappearing. If we focus only on the longer distances, we alienate the people who are interested in trying the sport but not ready to commit to a 70.3. And I think that’s a huge mistake.

Here’s how it works. You wrap the band around your midsection. This action creates compression in your core, stimulating thermal activity and ramping up perspiration. This process allows toxins and impurities to exit the skin, while mobilizing fat cells. Put simply, the band helps ensure that your workout is working for you. The band itself is constructed from a latex core with a soft cotton exterior and interior lining. It sits at your waist, extending to the upper abdominal. Three columns of hook-and-eye closures allow you to size the garment down with you. FelixBoning anchors the cincher and prevents migration.Targets the back, torso, waist and abdomen areas Helps you to loose those extra inches, Provides abdominal support!

Well, for the most part, I got back to it this week.
Monday – Rest day. Which was actually just touristing all day and not restful.
Tuesday – 4 mile run scheduled, but after 1.5 miles, my knee started to bother me, so I called it quits and did some strength work. I have to be careful to keep my quads strong so my knees track properly.
Wednesday – My trainer is home! Awesome service from Saris. Hour on the trainer.
Thursday – Swim practice. This was tough. Lots and lots of sprints, and I’m not a good sprinter, so this was a bit soul crushing. But I got through it and I know that every workout makes me stronger. I just have to remember that.
Friday – 45 easy spin on the trainer
Saturday – 120 minute structured trainer ride. Good lord, this power meter was a terrible idea. Now my coach can really make the workouts hurt.
Sunday – 12 mile run. Not pretty, but it’s done.

Always beware for scam sellers overseas that sell waist trainers for very cheap! I ordered one from China and it never came! So far, this is the most affordable seller with quick shipping that I’ve found.
How quick do you I start seeing results?
For me, I saw a noticeable change in measurements after a few days of wearing it overnight.

YOURCLOSET1 REVIEW: WAIST TRAINING! is available on vixenempire.com
For those of you who participate in DST, we “sprung forward” this weekend. If you forgot, well, you might be late for work. It’s always a bit of an adjustment, and I do wish it happened at the beginning of the weekend to make that adjustment easier, but here we are.
It was nice leaving for work while the sun was out, which certainly did not happen this morning. But at the same time, it’s also nice to have sunlight in the evening hours. I might get to ride my bike outside during the week finally! I love my trainer, but I really need to get better at handling my tri bike before race season starts in May. Otherwise, race season is going to be a joke.
I’ve heard a lot of people lamenting about how they can’t get up unless the sun is out. I get up in the dark in standard time and daylight saving time, so I do not understand this problem. No one likes getting out of bed.
I was reading up on some of the rationale and benefits of DST, and while you will hear things about farming and energy consumption, basically it comes down to “People like having sunlight hours after their work hours.” Farmers don’t like it, and it probably doesn’t reduce energy consumption. So I’m pretty sure it’s just for fun. Whatever the reason, I’ll take it. I like having sunlight left after I leave the office.
What are your thoughts on DST?

WAIST TRAINING BEFORE AND AFTER is available on http://vixenempire.com/
Last night, I went to swim practice with Team Fight. What we do at practice definitely varies, depending on what the coaches feel like doing that day, and last night, they felt like destroying us. Lots and lots of sprints.
I hate sprints. With my heartrate issues, I do great for the first 25m, and then after that, I start to significantly slow because I can feel my HR skyrocketing. But I just try to find that balance between pushing too hard and not pushing enough.
Now, the ability levels of the swimmers range from just learning to swim to super-fast-probably-swam-in-college. (No one can keep up with her.) I’m somewhere in the middle of that. We divide up between the faster swimmers and the slower swimmers and the two coaches each take a side of the pool. This way, everyone gets in their best workout. I’m typically in the faster half, but this time, there were fewer swimmers in the faster half, meaning I was definitely one of the slowest swimmers in the group. And let me tell you, that’s a huge mental challenge. Being that far behind is tough on the psyche. (Plus it meant I got less rest time between sets.)
But I stuck it out and pushed to the best of my ability. Because the thing is, when you’re among the slowest, you work that much harder. I’m never going to catch the fastest swimmers, but I can close that gap.
When we got to the locker room, it turns out a lot of people felt like it was a really bad practice. Not because the coaches did anything wrong, but because they had pushed us. Both the faster and the slower group felt rough at the end of the workout, and one girl was even worried that her lack of ability meant she wouldn’t be able to complete her triathlon later this year. (Spoiler alert – I’ve seen her swim and she will get there for sure. It’s only March and her tri is in August.)
These reactions definitely got me out of my head. It wasn’t just me who struggled, it was everyone. It has nothing to do with my ability and everything to do with the fact that the coaches are pushing us. This happens every year. The off-season workouts are always a bit easier because it’s the off-season. The fact that we show up to the pool in the snow is a big enough victory. So now that races are coming up, we’ve got to work to get where we need to be. And not every workout is going to feel great, but every workout gets me one step closer to where I want to be.

So… I didn’t get much working out in over the past week. My brother and sister-in-law were in town so I was off playing tourist! I did run on Tuesday, but well, with a broken trainer (should be back today) and the need to get the house in order before their visit, I didn’t get much done. I did enjoy being a tourist in my own city though!
We definitely lucked out with the weather. It was cold for the first part of their visit, but by Monday, it was absolutely gorgeous outside! Now I just have to get back to eating properly and working out regularly. Hoping to be able to run outside this weekend. Hooray!

The following blog post Waist Training TIPS and REVIEW! was originally published on http://www.vixenempire.com/
My next big race is the Cherry Blossom Ten Miler, and while I’m not doing hardcore run training, I am putting in some good long runs on the weekend. So in my training plan this month, my coach has me pushing and then on race day, she says “Do you think you can get a PR?”
And my first answer? Nope.
My PR is from right before my HR issues were diagnosed in 2010. It’s a 1:51 at Cherry Blossom. I don’t think I’ll ever get back there. I was racing great, but feeling awful for days afterwards because I was completely wearing my body out. Not what you want to be doing to your heart.
It’s interesting to look at my ten miler results, because after the diagnosis, my pace immediately dropped by a minute per mile. But I was feeling much better.
Of course, that’s not to say that my current pace is all due to heart issues. My fastest race since diagnosis was that same year at the Army Ten Miler – a 2:09. I was in excellent shape, having been working towards my first (and second and third) half marathon. I’ve gotten close to that again, but never quite back to it.
I’ve said it before, but I need to have pre and post diagnosis PRs. I don’t know that I’ll ever get back to a 1:51, and if that’s because of my heart issues, so be it. Nothing I can do about it without causing harm to my body, and that’s clearly not worth it.
So rather than worry about a sub-2, this year, I’m going to try for a ten miler under 2:09. I’ve got two ten mile races on my schedule, one in April and (hopefully) one in October. Obviously, my big push is the 70.3, but that doesn’t mean I can’t also work on my running pace.
Now, to get back to working out. I took a week off with my brother and sister-in-law visiting. It was a nice break, but now I have no excuses.

For many people, a great help in working towards their goals is to publicly state the goal. You’ve now told other people “Hey, I’m going to do this.” And that means that someone is probably watching to see if you make that goal. I’ve seen a lot of this lately, but what worries me is that people are setting unrealistic goals.
“I’m going to shave an hour off my marathon time and qualify for Boston in the next 6 months.”
“I’m going from couch potato to IRONMAN this year!”
And let’s not talk about the people in various Facebook running groups who think you don’t have to train to do a half marathon. (Spoiler alert, you do need to train.)
Why? Why do people set totally unrealistic goals?
Please note that in the examples I gave, the time limit is really what makes the goal ridiculous. Can someone shave an hour off their marathon time? It’s possible. Definitely depends on the person and all, but sure, it can be done. Can it be done in 6 months? Well, if the person was running their current marathons on very little training and poor planning, and then suddenly stuck to a solid plan, maybe. But I think those cases are the outliers. In general, no. You won’t shave an hour off your marathon time and get to BQ pace in 6 months.
And Couch to IRONMAN in under a year? Why? First off, maybe try a sprint or an Oly first, see if you like it. I’m sure there are people who have done an IM as their first tri, but those people likely come in as already skilled marathoners. I know people who made a 70.3 their first race, and those people were great runners who understood the need to commit to a training plan.
I don’t understand why people do this. Attention, most likely. But why set yourself up for failure? Why not pick a more reasonable goal?
You hear a lot of talk about SMART goals. SMART goals are
Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Relevant
Time-bound
So maybe “Someday, I will do a 140.6” isn’t a SMART goal because it’s not time bound. But how about “I will do a 140.6 in the next five years?” (Note: I will not do a 140.6 in the next five years because I don’t want to.)
The big key here is attainable. What is the point of a completely unattainable goal? Oh, sure, there’s the quote “Shoot for the moon. If you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” And to a point, that’s true. I believe in doing things that scare you, not just things you know you can do. I have friends who have previously only done 70.3 races with a 9 hour time limit who have signed up for races with an 8.5 hour time limit this year. They need to shave a number of minutes off their finish time, but they’ve dedicated themselves to the goal, and it’s definitely attainable. Could they not make it? Sure, that’s always possible. But cutting 20ish minutes off of a 70.3 finish time in a year is definitely attainable.
Plus I have to wonder what it does to your spirit and enthusiasm if you’re constantly setting unattainable goals for yourself. If it were me, I would just want to give up. Why set yourself up for failure?
Pick realistic goals and aim for them. And then celebrate when you make it.

Plus Size Waist Training Review | Your Fashion Frenzy was first seen on Vixen Empire
While my work life is currently insane (departmental workload increased, then 1/3 of the people who do what I do left the department), fitness wise, things seem pretty calm. I’m not currently freaking out about my training for an upcoming race or working on a huge packing list or reading race reports for a new-to-me race.
A year or so ago, I decided to go for quality rather than quantity in my racing. While going for quantity was fun and I enjoyed racking up the states in my quest towards a half marathon in each state (I’m currently at 9, so I didn’t get very far), I realized that I wasn’t enjoying myself. I wasn’t enjoying the training because I was just getting it done so that I could get through the next race. And my race times were definitely suffering.
So now, I really aim for quality. And that doesn’t necessarily mean that I’m aiming to only run fast. But I want to have a goal for each race. Sure, for the Donna half, my only goal was to have fun, but I also wanted to be well enough trained that I could have fun and not be suffering by the end. I’m doing races because I want to.
In the case of triathlons, for this year, I’m only doing three. THREE! That seems crazy to me, and I’m not doing races that I love. But that’s because this year’s goal is to get to and through the 70.3. And to do that, my training has to be really laser focused. I have two olympic distance races to help me prep, but really, I just want to hit that 70.3 and be as ready as I can.
No racing means fewer taper and recovery weeks, which is sad, but that’s exactly why I need to be doing fewer races.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying my training is easy right now. It’s focused and driven, but I’m not ramping up quickly. I’m just working to build. I’ve got a comfortable routine. Yes, it feels like some days I go to work, come home, workout, shove food in my face, and go to bed, but that’s more the fault of work than anything else.
I’m sure I will be regretting saying this as the season goes on and my workouts get even longer and more intense, so right now, it’s just the calm before the storm.
The post The Calm Before the Storm appeared first on Elbowglitter.
If you want to see how I put on, tighten & remove my steel boned corset then it’s worth watching every minute of this long video. This is actually a re-record of a previously recorded video. My computer crashed and I lost all recent video files.
Details on proper corset/waist training: http://youtu.be/JRWiLGOx5j8
My previous corset video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGS98h0BLVQ
Tight-lacing as a means of permanent waist-reduction and re-shaping is a practice requiring discipline and is best achieved when the following 3 components work in harmony:
• Waist Cinching using a traditional steel-boned corset
• Healthy Diet
• Regular Exercise
Results will be slower and harder to obtain if the 3 major components are not practiced as a gradual programme of modifying the shape of the body. So, what are the steps to follow for correct waist-training?
A little background:
- I’ve been waist training with a steel boned training corset for over 2 years (off and on)
- Here is the link to my previous video on corset/waist training http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGS98h0BLVQ
- I did ample research prior to making my decision to corset train (as should EVERYONE)
- I purchased all of the corsets I’ve ever worn from www.meschantes.com, either from their Ebay store Meschantes Corsetry - eBay Storesor their Etsy store MeschantesCorsetry - Etsy
- Only use heavy duty steel boned corsets for waist training
- I have been using the Training Corset found here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/63971326/meschantes-ready-to-wear-black-training?ref=sr_gallery_1&ga_search_query=meschantes&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all
- Details:
Ideal for long term wear, the standard Training corset is designed using multiple layers of strong, soft, black cotton twill, which allows for air flow through the corset and helps prevent a buildup of body moisture. A perfect undergarment both for under work clothes… or as a shapely aid to an evening dress or wedding gown. We use a combination of 28 spring steel and spiral steel bones which are ideal for providing support while maintaining mobility and flexibility of the torso. Triple reinforced stitching and durable twill tape at the waist adds extra reinforcement for the longevity of the garment and superior waist control. Our solidly reinforced corsets are not the flimsy cookie-cutter “corsets” you see elsewhere. Each piece is engineered to withstand years of enjoyment (even for tightlacers). This corset will easily and comfortably train the waist down 4"-6" and laces up in back with grommets (which are much stronger than eyelets) and our back modesty panel which is standard.
